What is DEADNET?

Forums die. Hosting bills go unpaid, admins vanish, everyone drifts to Discord, and one day the URL just stops working. Years of in-jokes, rivalries and friendships disappear with it.

DEADNET is the afterlife for dead forums. It's a classic forum (threads, signatures, post counts and all) where members of shut-down communities can find each other again.

How it works

The Crypts: each dead forum gets its own board, grouped by genre and tagged with its era. Find yours and say hi.
Roll Call: post which forums you came from so old friends can find you. Add them to the "Past lives" field in your profile to earn Survivor badges.
Séances: looking for someone specific? Hold a séance with their old username and forum.
Obituaries: write the story of how your forum lived and died.
Crypt Requests: don't see your forum? Ask for a crypt and a Gravekeeper will dig one.

Tips

Register with the username you used on your old forum, so people recognize you.
@mention someone to ping them. Click Quote on a post to reply to it.
Pay respects (🕯) to posts you like.
Send private Whispers from anyone's profile.
Posts support BBCode: [b], [i], [url], [img], [quote], [spoiler], [code].

Ranks

Your rank rises with your post count: Corpse (0+) → Ghoul (10+) → Wraith (50+) → Revenant (150+) → Lich (500+) → Eternal (1500+). Staff are Gravekeepers.
